Kelly Clarkson Makes Surprise Appearance To Sing One Of Garth Brooks’ Biggest Hits

YouTube

It was a night of celebration for Garth Brooks who performed a free concert in Nashville at Tennessee Tourism’s 7 Diamond Celebration at Ascend Amphitheater last fall. The event honored Brooks who now boasts the distinct honor of being the first artist to have seven albums earn a diamond certification from the Record Industry Association of America, a distinction awarded when an album sells more than 10 million copies.

Garth beat out the Beatles who have six diamond certifications. Brooks’ 7 Diamond Celebration was announced in early October and the show was a sell-out.

As promised, the night was full of surprises with artists such as Reba McEntire, Chris Young, Jason Aldean, and Trisha Yearwood making appearances. But, it was Kelly Clarkson‘s rendition of Brooks’ “We Shall Be Free” that gave us all the feels.

Clarkson hasn’t performed much since the birth of her son earlier this year, but the break has only seemed to strengthen her voice as she sounded better than ever.
