The state of Louisiana has been hit with the worst natural disaster since Hurricane Sandy. The Baton Rouge-area storm has taken 13 lives, damaged over 40,000 homes and has required 30,000 people to be rescued.
According to NBC News, "most of Louisiana has gotten at least a foot of rain since Friday, with some places getting as much as 30 inches, according to the NWS."
The storm, according NBC News, is far from over, and has required the American Red Cross to dispatch and army of volunteers to help with relief efforts.
"The Red Cross is working hard to raise the $30 million it's going to take to aid in the recovery efforts," Korie said.
Willie continued, pleading, "Reach out to the number on the screen and see how you can help...Go visit redcross.org to see how you can make a donation."
Every little bit helps, and while they don't live in the area where the flooding is taking place, they consider the state of Louisiana to be their home and they would do anything to help. They are using their celebrity for good, which is very inspiring.
We are praying for the people this flood is affecting and that the Red Cross raises the ample amount of money needed to aid in the recovery.
