Haunted Encounters At Martina McBride’s Home Will Give You Chills

Prepare to step into this dream-like Nashville mansion owned by country music superstar Martina McBride! The four-time winner of CMA’s “Female Vocalist of the Year” met up with Billboard to take fans inside her 13,000-square-foot home.

“I just wanted to fill it up with love and make a lot of great memories here,” Martina tells Billboard in an interview. “I knew our family had to live here.”

Martina talks about the houses split personalities: the cozy down to earth side of the living room and kitchen where the family spends “99 percent of their time,” and the ultra-glamourous side complete with a full bar and music listening room perfect for cocktail parties and entertaining. 

“At the end of the night, everyone will be here listening to records and drinking wine or whiskey,” tells Martina.

But no dream mansion would be complete without a backyard fitting for paradise. The outside of the estate has a resort like swimming pool complete with a falling waterfall and water slide. 

“We spend a lot of time outside,” says Martina. “We’ve been able to share it with a lot of people and memories…I love filling up the house with a lot of people and food.” 

Think this house might just be too good to be true? Martina says that when her family first moved in back in early 2000, the house was haunted. Martina has apainting of a saint that she says drive out the spirits. 

“He watches over the house,” Martina shares. “We used to have spirits in our house, and we renovated and now they seem to be gone…Maybe this painting is one of the reasons?”
