The Florida man had duped at least one victim, but the strangest part of the story is that he doesn't appear to look anything like the country star.
Daniel Farris, a resident of Pinellas County, Florida, was arrested on accusations of defrauding a mentally handicapped woman for money and other favors while impersonating Jason Aldean.
From the report on WFLA, it appears he was orchestrating what could turn out to be a string of possible frauds, but only one has been discovered.
It was stated that he had created a fake Facebook profile in order to deceive people and pretend to be Aldean, while simultaneously pretending to be a friend of Aldean's to support various statements and demands.

In the single accusation, the Largo Police say that Farris demanded $2,000 from the victim, but only received $230 in two payments.
Farris has admitted to taking the money from the victim and says he used it to support an addiction to prescription painkillers.
This isn't the first time a country star has had someone use their name to extort dedicated and unwitting fans.
Country and bluegrass star Alison Krauss saw an imposter pose as her on a dating site and dupe a man out of his life savings. Additionally Luke Bryan and Jake Owen have had their own issues with people posing as them on social media, and Owen even called his impersonator on the phone and gave him a piece of his mind.
