Our hearts are breaking for Canadian-born crooner Michael Bublé and his family.
The vocalist and his wife, Luisana, made a statement via a Facebook post that their 3-year-old son, Noah, is currently battling cancer.
"We are devastated about the recent cancer diagnosis of our oldest son Noah who is currently undergoing treatment in the US," it reads. "We have always been very vocal about the importance of family and the love we have for our children. Luisana and I have put our careers on hold in order to devote all our time and attention to helping Noah get well. At this difficult time, we ask only for your prayers and respect for our privacy."
Bublé and Luisana, who also have 10-month-old son Elias, have been married since March 2011 and have documented their family life on Instagram. The family of four all got Spiderman face paintings for Noah's third birthday party just over two months ago.
Although around this time, Michael Bublé's Christmas music is normally blaring through all speakers and he usually commits to at least one Christmas TV special, it is likely we won't see him in the spotlight for a while, since he is taking time off to be with his son. We commend him for that.
"We have a long journey in front of us and hope that with the support of family, friends and fans around the world, we will win this battle, God willing,” Bublé said.
Our prayers are with Michael and his family during this time.
