Country music legend Dolly Parton was joined by her god-daughter, and 'Voice' coach, Miley Cyrus and a cappella group Pentatonix for a one-of-a-kind rendition of her classic hit "Jolene." Parton taped the performance in front of a live studio audience Monday night for the segment that aired during Tuesday's live results show.
Dolly's appearance on 'The Voice' took place as wildfires ravaged the singer's home state of Tennessee. Parton issued a statement Tuesday afternoon addressing the fires that are devastating East Tennessee and threatened to destroy her theme park and had already destroyed more than 150 structures in the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge areas of the Smoky Mountains.
"I have been watching the terrible fires in the Great Smoky Mountains and I am heartbroken. I am praying for all the families affected by the fire and the firefighters who are working so hard to keep everyone safe. It is a blessing that my Dollywood theme park, the Dreammore Resort and so many businesses in Pigeon Forge have been spared."
Dolly performances during Tuesday night's episode of 'The Voice' also included a a collaboration with Jennifer Nettles and the Top 10 for "Circle of Love," the theme song for Parton's new holiday movie, Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love.
