Each new detail about Miranda Lambert's upcoming album makes it sound better and better.
On September 17, Lambert posted a cryptic video message revealing the title and release date for her latest project, her first album since 2014's Platinum. Called The Weight of These Wings, the new album is set for release on November 18.
Then, on September 30th, Lambert unveiled the cover art for the new album. Shot in black and white, the cover shows Lambert wearing a stunning evening gown and standing in front of a pair of wings, with her guitar case in hand.
As if all of those details weren't enough to get us excited for The Weight of These Wings, Lambert dropped a bombshell of a surprise about the album. On Friday (October 7), she posted yet another cryptic video to reveal some huge details about her new record.
All we can see in the video is Lambert writing on a notepad that already has the name of the album and the release date on it. We see that the words "The Nerve" and "The Heart" are also on the notepad, but Lambert pauses before writing out what they mean.
That's when Lambert writes her huge surprise...The Weight of These Wings is going to be a double album.
"Double album, one story," the last line on the notepad reads.
The news of the double album was confirmed in a press release, which also revealed that the two discs will include 24 new songs from Lambert. We wonder which of the two albums will house Lambert's smash single, "Vice"? Check out the song's official music video below.
We don't know about you, but this latest news from Lambert has us really hyped up. November 18th can't get here soon enough!
