Currently on hiatus, the country music supergroup composed of Lambert, Ashley Monroe, and Angaleena Presley took the world of country music by storm with their sultry single "Hell on Heels." The Pistol Annies set the world on fire with their live debut of the sexy single in 2011 on a special Academy of Country Music's Girls' Night Out: Superstar Women of Country.
"Hell on Heels" tells the story of three female con-artists who use their beauty and smarts "the devil" blessed them with to swindle rich men out of their fortunes. The song captivates with spell-binding lines like "Got a high-rise flat in Hollywood, from a married man who wasn't up to no good" and "Poor ol' Billy, bless his heart, I'm still using his credit card."
Unfortunately, the Pistol Annies record label issued a statement in 2013 that "due to unforeseen circumstances" they would be forced to cancel all tour stops scheduled for that year. The following year, band member Presley confirmed they were on a "temporary hiatus" due to the success of Lambert and Monroe's careers as solo-artists (you may recognize Monroe as the female vocalist in Blake Shelton's "Lonely Tonight").
Presley went on to say the band "just had to take a little break but never say never." And it seems like the "little break" may just be coming to an end with the country trio reuniting on stage at Lambert's show at Perfect Vodka Amphitheater in West Palm Beach, Florida Saturday Sept. 10.
Only time will tell if this surprise performance is a one time event. You can watch the trio's performance of their signature "Hell on Heels" in the video below!
