Last week, rumors started to hit social media that Miranda Lambert is preparing to release her new single sometime this month. Radio station Big 99.9 Coyote Country was the first to share evidence pertaining to the new single.
The station shared an article about Lambert's ex, Blake Shelton, and also wrote in its caption "P.S. We'll have a new Miranda Lambert single on July 18th." The tweet was eventually deleted, but not before another user took a screenshot of it.

Once Big Coyote spilled the beans, other fans shared that their local radio stations were also advertising they would have Lambert's new single on July 18. Now, a few new details have emerged about the tune.
Slacker Radio revealed the cover art and title to Lambert's new song, which will be called "Vice." The cover art shows a close up shot of what appears to be a vinyl record with Lambert's name and the song title appearing in a large font over the image.

According to Windmills Country, Lambert co-wrote the song along with Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne.
McAnally is known for writing some of the biggest country hits in the past few years, including Keith Urban's "John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16" and Lambert's "Mama's Broken Heart." Osborne is yet another accomplished songwriter who has worked with McAnally in the past. Together they helped co-write The Band Perry's "Chainsaw" and Kenny Chesney's "Wild Child."

With such a talented songwriting team behind "Vice," we have a feeling it will be a big hit. The single will be the first Lambert's released in a year, and is also her first since splitting from Shelton last summer.
We don't know about you, but we're anxious to hear Lambert's new song! In the meantime, enjoy her previous single "Smokin' and Drinkin'" in the clip below.
