The country singer was kept busy this year on his headlining I'm Comin' Over Tour, with openers Dustin Lynch and Cassadee Pope. The tour wrapped up at its final stop Friday night in Thackerville, Oklahoma, with Travis showing up backstage to surprise the singer.
Everyone was all smiles in the picture posted to Young's Instagram account alongside the caption, “Amazing last show of the year and Randy Travis showed up!!!"
While staying mainly absent from the country music scene after suffering a devastating stroke back in 2013, Travis has been recently making sporadic appearances displaying his rapidly increasing recovery. In addition to surprising Young at his concert, Travis also showed up at Charlie Daniels' 80th Birthday Volunteer Jam late last month to present him with an award celebrating his philanthropic endeavors.
Young has had a lot to celebrate lately, currently nominated for "Best Country Duo" at the 2017 Grammy Awards for his and Pope's hit country duet, "Think of You."
“I am so honored by this morning’s news,” Young said according to Taste of Country following his nomination. “Cassadee and I have had such a great time together with this song at radio and on tour. Having it not only go No. 1 but also be nominated for a Grammy is really incredible!”
