Being the Maid of Honor in a wedding is a huge deal! Especially if your best friend is marrying your cousin. For Sadie Robertson, that is exactly what is happening to her.
She is her best friend, Brighton's Maid of Honor in her wedding to Sadie's cousin, Reed. Last week, Brighton had a bridal shower and Sadie's Maid of Honor duties were put to the test.
As many of you know, at a bridal shower, friends and family come together to "shower" the future bride with love and presents! With so many people present, Sadie was the one to write down who gave Brighton what gift so she could write thank you notes.
The tricky thing was, Sadie either didn't know what the gift was, or she didn't know how to spell it!
"Tip to all the maid of honors out there...Get to know the names of kitchen stuff because when it comes time to keep the book for the showers you are really going to want to know how to spell these things," she wrote on Instagram. "Crockpot may of been the only thing I didn't have to attempt to draw or write an explanation for."
At least she got creative and just started drawing what the gifts looked like so Brighton could figure it out later!
B - "how am I supposed to react when I open these wedding gifts" Me - "idk hopefully it will just come natural" *opens first gift B - "IT'S A CROCKPOT YES" Me - "wow that was so good" [ Ps : tip to all the maid of honors out there... Get to know the names of kitchen stuff, because when it comes time to keep the book for the showers you are really going to want to know how to spell these things. Crockpot may of been the only thing I didn't have to attempt to draw or write an explanation for. ]
Reed and Brighton are getting married on November 5, the same day the Robertsons' beloved LSU Tigers play Alabama, their sworn rivals. Reed's dad, Jase, wasn't too happy about their wedding date choice, as he attends the football game every year. Watch Jase moan and groan about the wedding date here.
