Garth Brooks and Randy Travis have had plenty of reasons to celebrate lately. For Brooks, he just made history when he had a seventh album earn Diamond certification from the RIAA, which marks the sale of ten million copies. In doing so, Brooks became the first artist to ever have that many albums reach Diamond status.

As for Travis, he was recently inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. In a miraculous moment, Travis took to the stage at his induction and sang “Amazing Grace,” after a stroke had left him unable to sing for three years.

Brooks happened to be standing at Travis’ side during that powerful moment. His emotional reaction to hearing Travis sing was captured in the countless photos taken from that day. It’s clear that he was moved by what he heard.

On Monday night (October 24), Brooks and Travis got to celebrate another touching moment together when Travis showed up to surprise Brooks at his seventh Diamond celebration in Nashville.

A backstage video shows Travis and his wife, Mary, walking down a hall when Trisha Yearwood spots them. She was quick to rush up to Travis with a hug, saying, “I can’t believe you’re here!

Brooks came up for his own hug next, truly honored to have Travis there to celebrate his special day with him. “What’s up Hall of Famer?” Brooks called out to Travis.

The video from that moment was shared on Travis’ official Facebook page, with the post reading, “So glad I was able to support my friend Garth Brooks for his huge night in Nashville last night!

Although the video is short, it’s sure to make you smile in that small amount of time. Go ahead and watch it below.

Friendships like the one Brooks and Travis share are one in a million!
