A former finalist on the Mexican version of "The Voice" has died after being shot during an attempted carjacking in Chicago.
45-year old Alejandro "Jano" Fuentes was sitting in his red convertible after leaving his birthday celebration at the performing arts studio he owns in Chicago when a gunman approached and ordered him out of his car. Fuentes refused and was shot several times according to local media reports.
The gunman fled the scene in a waiting vehicle. At press time, police are still searching for the suspect and are looking into whether it was an attempted carjacking or robbery.
Our deepest condolences go out to Jano's loved ones.
