High school football team brings cheerleader to tears in an incredible display of support for her current battle against leukemia.

One by one, the gentlemen of the California team place orange – the color of leukemia awareness – roses at her feet as they make their way onto the field at the start of the game. The girls stands stunned as she quickly realizes what is going on, and places her hands over mouth in disbelief.

“Ladies and gentlemen please pay your attention to the south end of the stadium,” is announced over the loud speaker. “Where your 2016 [football players] are paying tribute to one of their comrades!”

Leukemia is the most common childhood cancer and the exact cause remains unknown. The average five-year survival rate is 57 percent in adults and 60-85 percent in children.
