If you've paid close attention to country music and television shows in the last 25 years, you'll definitely see some familiar faces come across the screen during the newest season of NBC's 'The Voice'.
One of the most recognizable and beloved hit TV shows in American history featured a youngster who played a character named DJ Tanner - yes, that's right...we're talking about Candace Cameron Bure in Full House. And no, she's not necessarily auditioning to be the next pop superstar - but her daughter is!
In a post on Facebook the famous child star reveals that her daughter definitely auditioned for the 11th season, and hints that she might have gotten a spot on one of the coaches teams!
Similarly, another former child star also takes over the screen - but he's actually auditioning for a spot on one of the teams! And surprisingly, he has actually already been a decorated musician, securing several Grammy nominations and became the youngest country singer to score a Top 40 hit!
Yes, we are definitely talking about little Billy Gilman (who's not so little anymore). As you may recall, he stormed the charts with his music in the early 2000s, most notably with his famous song "One Voice".
Now a well-trained musician, he's aiming to get right back to where he had been when he was just 11 years old - and he's hoping that 'The Voice' will take him there!
But, Billy revealed a bit more than he probably was supposed to. In his statement, he says that he's "ready for [his fans] to love this journey and to vote", but it's unlikely he would have said "vote" if he hadn't made it quite far in the pre-taped portion of the competition already...but we will just have to wait and see!
