Tim McGraw Exposes His True Feelings About Having Two Daughters Away In College

Last year, Tim McGraw admitted he was “pretty emotional” when dropping his eldest daughter, Gracie, off at college for her Freshman year. This year, he not only has to say goodbye, again, to Gracie, he also had to drop his middle daughter, Maggie, off.

Actually, it was his wife, Faith Hill, who dropped Maggie off. Hill shared a sweet video of the two of them singing at the top of their lungs during the drive!

With two daughters now out of the house and in college, McGraw has a whole new set of emotions.

“It’s beautiful and it’s sad all at one time,” said Tim, according to Nash Country Daily. “You know, you can’t wait for them to sort of see what they make of themselves and do with themselves when they get out from under your umbrella, but you’re also nervous and sad because you’re gonna miss ’em.”

Watching his baby girls grow up into beautiful young women is definitely bittersweet, for any parent. They are becoming these independent people and moving further and further away from needing their parents for everything.

According to Nash Country Daily, McGraw recently raved about his talented daughter.

It was challenging for sure, but you know, we have a lot of confidence in [Gracie]. I’m a huge fan of hers, not only as an artist, but as a person. She’s just a great, great kid and brings such a light and energy to everything that she does,” he said.

Luckily, Hill and McGraw still have one daughter at home for a couple more years. Listen to McGraw’s duet with Gracie on his latest album Damn Country Music, called “Here Tonight”.
