"We knew we would...fall apart," he says holding back tears in this new interview alongside an emotional Faith Hill.
The country power couple explains how having to say goodbye to their second daughter was so hard that they didn't even speak to one another for several days.
After venturing cross-country to drop their middle daughter, Maggie off at college in California, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill opened up to 99.5 WYCD about how painful it was.
"It was tough..." Faith explains to the show's hosts with Tim adding, "We were scared to even engage in conversation because we knew we would sort of, just fall apart."
"It was painful (to say goodbye)," Tim continued. "But, in a way it made us sad but made us happy as well.
But it sounds like they went through the same experience when they dropped Gracie (their eldest) off at college just a couple years prior to Maggie.
"When we were moving Maggie into her dorm - and the same thing happened with Gracie when we moved her into her dorm when she went to school," He began. "I mean, 30 minutes after being in there and moving things in they were trying to kick us out."
"It makes you feel better, when you think about it, 'cause you know they're ready and they're confident..."
These two superstars have such a tight-knit family full of love and nowhere is that more apparent when it comes to their love and dedication to their three kids.
