Looks like someone’s has been feeling nostalgic lately! Tim McGraw was recently forced to say goodbye to his second daughter, Maggie, whose beginning her freshmen year of college. With his eldest daughter, Gracie, returning for her sophomore year of college, the McGraw-Hill residence is starting to feel a little lonely.

“It’s beautiful and it’s sad all at one time,” McGraw is reported saying in an interview with Nash Country Daily. “You know, you can’t wait for them to sort of see what they make of themselves and do with themselves when they get out from under your umbrella, but you’re also nervous and sad because you’re gonna miss ’em.”

McGraw just released his ultra nostalgic “How I’ll Always Be” as the third single of his latest album, Damn Country Music before breaking out an even more nostalgic throwback photo of him and his daughters to express how he’s feeling.

Monday Sept. 12 the proud father shared an adorable photo to his Instagram account of him and his three daughters at what appears to be Disney World when they were just his little girls. McGraw takes center stage surrounded by his charming daughters as the four pose smiling in front of the castle with a simple caption “HowIllAlwaysBe.”

McGraw’s latest single gave name to his photo’s caption as a sort of way to express that he’s been feeling reminiscent of the past when he had all his daughters with him at his and Faith’s Nashville home.

“It was very reminiscent of my hometown, where I grew up,” McGraw shares with Taste Of Country about his new single. “There was a cotton gin in my hometown. I worked in bean fields and cotton fields and rice fields as a kid. Some of my earliest memories were sort of that visual of that song.”

With daughters that adorable you can’t blame him for feeling nostalgice. You can listen to the song about the good times the past holds in the video below and be sure to let us know what you think in the comments!
