Saturday night was a big night for Vince Gill as he celebrated his 25th anniversary as a member of the Grand Ole Opry. Gill marked the milestone surrounded by family and friends including country legends Bill Anderson, Rodney Crowell, and Patty Loveless as well as Gill’s wife and daughter, Amy Grant and Jenny Gill.

Throughout the night Gill performed some of his biggest hits including “Go Rest High On That Mountain,” with the help of Patty Loveless, and “House of Love” his 1994 duet with Amy Grant. Opry attendees were given a special treat when Vince’s set ran an hour longer than scheduled.

While Vince Gill was being celebrated on stage, a couple in the audience was celebrating their engagement….something that Gill had a special hand in just moments before taking the stage. In a post made to her social media pages, Jalyn Cotton shared that her boyfriend, Ben, proposed to her during a backstage tour of the Grand Ole Opry where Vince Gill was doing a soundcheck prior to his anniversary celebration. Gill noticed the couple and asked them to join him on stage for a dance while he serenaded them. Talk about a night to remember!

Congratulations to the happy couple! Watch the emotional engagement video below.
