Kid Rock has experimented with almost every genre of music imaginable, and has found great success in country music in the process. In 2002, he released a song called "Picture" as a duet with Sheryl Crow, and that's what really made country music fans pay attention to him. The song charted in the Top 25 on the country charts, and was a Top 10 pop hit.
Over the years, Rock has performed "Picture" with various female country stars when Crow couldn't be there to sing it with him. He's performed the now-iconic duet with everyone from Kellie Pickler to Gretchen Wilson, and even Martina McBride.
The popularity of Rock and Crow's duet led to countless covers from other singers, with many sharing their covers on YouTube. In a sea of "Picture" covers, one duo managed to stand out with their beautiful rendition.
Called Hayside South, the duo consists of singers and guitarists Bekah Logan and Jonathan Robinson. They're a pure country duo, and have covered other popular songs by artists such as Carrie Underwood and Chris Young.
But it's their version of "Picture" that has some of the most views out of all of the videos on their channel.
As Robinson sings Rock's part, he sits alone in front of a black backdrop with twinkling lights. The chair next to him is empty, symbolizing how his former lover is now absent from his life. You can hear the mournful tone in Robinson's voice as he sings, and we feel like he did a perfect job at capturing the emotions of the song.
Then Logan comes in to sing Crow's part, with an empty chair where Robinson once sat. Her sweet, angelic voice is filled with heartbreak as she sings about how she hasn't heard from her lover in three nights.
Finally, Logan and Robinson come together in one stunning moment. Their voices fit perfectly together, and their harmonies throughout that last portion of the song will give you chills.
Tune in below to watch this talented young duo perform their awe-inspiring cover of the song you know and love. We think these two have a bright future ahead of them!
