The PCCAs, now in its second year, stands out for its unique approach of allowing fans to vote for their favorite artists and performances. The “Tin Man” singer has clearly made a huge impact on the world of country music. She has won the hearts of fans everywhere and inspired a whole new generation of artists.

During the awards ceremony show, country star Parker McCollum took the stage to announce the 2024 Country Icon Award. Honoring the legendary Miranda Lambert, he shared:

“Tonight, we are honoring an artist who is one of the greatest ever…What makes Miranda an icon, in my eyes, has nothing to do with awards and charts. It’s her deep generosity, true friendship, and personal integrity.”

After performing two of her songs, “Kerosene” and “Dammit Randy,” Lambert took center stage to give her acceptance speech.

“Y’all, thank you so much. It’s so weird for me to stand up here and hold an icon award…” Lambert shared. “I feel like I’ve been able to make so many great memories in my life and in my career because of fans because y’all allow me to keep creating all these years, twenty years later. Some days I feel like I’ve done it 200 years and some days I feel like I’m just getting started. Thank you so much to the most loyal fans in the world, country fans. Thank you to God and all my friends. My country music community for allowing me to do this amazing job. I’m so looking forward to what’s next.”
