Video Of The Clintons Delivering Depositions In The Ongoing Epstein Probe Includes Some Uncomfortable Moments

After months of seemingly dodging subpoenas to testify in the House Oversight Committee’s ongoing probe of the files pertaining to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, the day finally came for former President Bill Clinton and former Sec. of State Hillary Clinton to give their depositions.

These testimonies were made behind closed doors on Feb. 26 and Feb. 27, but they were recorded, with each speaking on the record for approximately 4 1/2 hours.

On Monday, March 2, House Republicans released video from the Clinton depositions, with several moments receiving scrutiny.

Bill and Hillary both testified that they were unaware of Epstein’s reputation and criminal misdeeds, with Hillary even going as far as to say that she had never met Epstein despite knowing Ghislaine Maxwell.

While it is not a crime to appear in the Epstein files, Bill is mentioned several times in correspondence, and photos of him are also included.

Similarly, President Donald Trump is also featured in the Epstein files, with the Department of Justice prefacing the release of the files by stating, “To be clear, the claims are unfounded and false, and if they have a shred of credibility, they certainly would have been weaponized against President Trump already.”

In a video statement, Bill explained why he agreed to do the deposition at all, stating, “America was built on the idea that no person is above the law, even presidents — especially presidents.”

By this claim, some Democrats hope to have Trump respond to their concerns about the Epstein files, but nothing has materialized from that so far.

Bill Clinton Appears Delighted As He Looks At Photo Included In Epstein Evidence

One moment from the deposition that has garnered attention finds former President Bill Clinton looking over evidence included in the Epstein files.

This moment is between questions, but Bill can be seen pointing at a photo and smiling, even to the point of laughter, before his attorney, Cheryl Mills, takes the document away from him.

The value of the House Oversight Committee releasing video of the deposition, as opposed to simply releasing a transcript, is made abundantly clear in moments like this.

Watch Bill Clinton Respond To Claim Made By Epstein That He “Likes Them Young”

Another moment that has attracted scrutiny finds former President Bill Clinton being questioned by Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-FL.

During her questioning of Bill, she says Jeffrey Epstein had said that Bill “like[s] them young,” asking, “Why would Epstein say that about you?”

At first, Bill’s attorney, Cheryl Mills, replies, inquiring, “Are you asking his opinion?”

From there, Mills explains to Bill that he is being asked to place himself “in Epstein’s mind” to “guess” as to what he thought about himself.

Responding, Bill said, “First of all, that’s not true.”

Luna then asked, “What’s not true?”

He said, “That I have any interest in underage –“

Cutting him off, Luna said, “I didn’t say ‘underage,’ I said ‘young.'”

Holding firm, Bill said, “But it’s still not true.”

Alluding to the Monica Lewinsky scandal — which ultimately led to Bill being impeached by the House of Representatives in 1998 for lying under oath — Luna asked, “Is an intern young?”

Famously, Bill stated in 1998 in a sworn deposition, “I did not have sexual relations with that woman.”

Pausing to respond to Luna’s question, Bill stated, “Yes,” adding a joke about his own age, 79, to suggest anyone would be younger than he is.

Asked about Epstein Island, Bill said that he had never been there.

Later on in the clip, there was a point of contention over whether Bill received a back massage from a “young girl” while he was in office, with Luna asking, “Do you think a young girl massaging a president is unusual?”

As this interaction transpires, Bill reaches for a glass of water and can be seen shaking as he brings it to his mouth.

“You said he was a sitting president,” retorted Cheryl Mill, noting the alluded to incident occurred after his term had ended.

Bill stated, before being cut off by his representation, “I have no idea if it’s unusual.”

Following President Bill Clinton’s deposition, Rep. Luna said in a news conference with the House Oversight Committee, “I do believe, and I’m sure some people on this committee believe, that Jeffrey Epstein was an intelligence asset and running some form of a honeypot operation.”

Further, she said, “I do believe that President Clinton as well as [Sec. Clinton] were potentially targets of that operation.”
