Following the debut of his newest single, “Came Here To Forget” Blake Shelton has announced the name and release date for his newest album.
If I’m Honest will be dropping May 20, 2016, and marks Shelton’s 12th studio album release.
This album seems to be the singer’s most personal thus far, and the Oklahoma native explained to Entertainment Tonight that, “I’ve had a lot of music over the years, but I don’t think I’ve ever had a song before that’s such a direct look into my life.”
2015 marked major milestones for Shelton who split from fellow country star Miranda Lambert in July 2015, and then announced his new relationship to ‘The Voice’ coach Gwen Stefani that following November.
A recipe for great music, right?
The mark of a new year means new music, and a deeper look into one of country music’s most beloved artists. We can’t wait to hear and see what is next for Shelton!
For now listen to “Came Here To Forget” which has been dominating iTunes since its debut. Pretty incredible! Congrats, Blake.
