During a visit to the famed Grand Ole Opry stage, legendary country queen, Loretta Lynn, decided it was time for an unexpected change up on the artist roster!

On St. Patrick’s Day 2007, shortly before the full-scale launch of her third studio album, Gretchen Wilson was patiently watching Loretta from the side of the stage as she began to sing her late ’60s hit, “You Ain’t Woman Enough” with as much gusto and pizazz as ever.

About mid-song, Loretta had a surprise in store for her devoted fans, and she didn’t let them down!

Gretchen strolled out onto the stage with a microphone, unannounced, and began issuing a magical duet alongside one of the most influential ladies to ever have graced country music!

The result of blending a traditional country voice with a modern country voice was a jam-packed duet that brought fans to their feet as they applauded an iconic moment for these two talented artists!
