It is a bittersweet month for country newcomer William Michael Morgan.
On March 18, his self-titled EP became available on iTunes and was released in Walmart stores on March 25th.
Unfortunately, Morgan announced on Wednesday (March 30) that his Mammaw passed away in a Facebook post.
"Today has been a very stressful day," he writes. "My Mammaw just passed away and I'm awaiting some other news... Please pray for my family."
Hundreds of fans have been offering their condolences and sending their prayers to the "I Met A Girl" singer.
He elaborated in a comment about how hard his family is taking this heartbreaking loss.
"In almost 23 years I've never seen my father cry anything but happy tears," he said.
Morgan has been compared to George Strait and loves covering classic country including Keith Whitley and Merle Haggard.
Our prayers go out to William Michael Morgan and his family.
