Brad Paisley Skipped Out On ACM Awards To Help Out “A Wonderful Person”

Country star Brad Paisley skipped out on one of the biggest country music events of the year, but he had a good reason.Paisley was nowhere to be seen during Sunday night’s Academy of Country Music Awards. The “I’m Gonna Miss Her” singer wasn’t nominated, wasn’t hosting, and wasn’t even presenting for the ACMs, so we can’t hold it against him for not attending.

While the ACM Awards were taking place in Las Vegas, Paisley took the stage at the iHeart Radio Music Awards in Los Angeles where he accompanied pop super star Demi Lovato for a dynamite performance of her hit ballad “Stone Cold.” Paisley’s guitar style leant itself well to the tune making us wonder why these two powerhouses haven’t collaborated before.

Paisley’s appearance was a surprise to all in attendance as most would consider this an unlikely collaboration. But, the duo proved otherwise as they delivered a fantastic, heart-wrenching performance.

Paisley took to Twitter to give a shout out to Lovato whom he called “an amazing singer and wonderful person.”
