Keith Urban & Carrie Underwood Team Up For Duet During ‘Idol’ Finale

American Idol/Facebook

Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood paired up during Thursday night’s ‘American Idol’ finale for a dynamic cover of Tom Petty and Stevie Nicks’ “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around.”

Underwood, Idol‘s season 4 winner, and current season judge, Urban, nailed the Grammy award-winning song with their vocal chemistry. Urban recently announced that Underwood will be performing on his upcoming album, and if tonight’s performance was any indication, we’re in for a real treat!

As the era of American Idol comes to a close, the show’s cast from past and present delivered emotional and sentimental performances that serve to remind us just what a huge impact the show has had on music of all genres.

The final American Idol will be named tonight with either La’Porsha Renae or Trent Harmon taking home the season 15 title. However, the winner announcement has been greatly overshadowed by the star power that is present in the form of Idol hopefuls and winners past and present.
