3. Carrie Underwood (Season 4)

Do we even need to go over the success that Season 4’s American Idol winner has had? The answer is YES!

Following her win, she released her debut album, Some Hearts. It became the best-selling album of 2006 in all genres and produced the singles “Jesus, Take The Wheel”, “Some Hearts”, and “Before He Cheats”.

Her second album, Carnival Ride, produced the singles “So Small”, “All-American Girl”, “Last Name”, “Just A Dream”, and “I Told You So”. She became the first female artist to pull four singles from one album since Shania Twain’s 1995 album, The Woman In Me.

She has continued her climb to success and has five albums, has headlined five tours and just released a Greatest Hits album. She has released a total of 28 singles and has seven Grammy awards, seventeen Billboard Music Awards, eleven ACM Awards, nine American Music Awards, and five CMA Awards.

She has also won a Golden Globe for songwriting, and won ten BMI awards. She was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2008 and has even begun an acting career, although singing remains her #1 priority, besides her family of course!
