After 18 Months Of Silence, Josh Turner FINALLY Releases New Music

Josh Turner has not released an album since 2012’s Punching Bag. In 2014, he did debut a single, “Lay Low”, but no follow up singles or albums.

In an interview with the Albuquerque Journal, Turner explained the reason behind not releasing new music.

“The new music is there and I want to get it out to my fans,” he said. “The fans have been pretty anxious. Then I have to remind them that this is a business and there are a lot of things that I can’t control.”

Apparently, if it were up to him, he would have released an album in 2013!

Fret not, Josh Turner fans! That day has come!

Turner actually debuted this brand new song at the Big Heart Bash in April and we have just now uncovered the YouTube video!

The song, called “Hometown Girl” is about a young girl who grows up and moves to New York City, but never forgets where she is from and who she was raised to be.
