Michigan-born Tegan Marie always always wanted to be a star. She picked up her first guitar at age 6, was writing songs by the time she was 8, and was on stage with some of the biggest stars in country music by the time she was 11.
Thanks to YouTube, Tegan gained a massive following after posting videos of herself tackling some of her favorite pop and country tunes when she was only 7-years old. Videos of song covers like Sugarland's "Stay", Kelsea Ballerini's "Love Me Like You Mean It", and "Cowboy Take Me Away" by the Dixie Chicks earned the youngster more than 2 million views and a huge social media following. Once you hear Tegan's dynamic, smooth voice you'll know why this is just the beginning for the young star.
One of our favorite covers by by Tegan Marie is Carrie Underwood's "Something in the Water". In the video, a then-10-year old Tegan sings the popular song for the Tunes for Tots Holiday Mall Tour benefiting the Children's Miracle Network. Check it out below and let us know what you think!
