Almost three weeks after Michael Sacha was found deceased at Kid Rock's Nashville property, his official cause of death has been released.
Sacha, an assistant for the musician, died when the all-terrain vehicle he was driving struck a tree after midnight on April 25. Kid Rock and an unidentified woman discovered Sacha's body several hours later after they couldn't find him in their home. According to a newly released medical examiner's report, Sacha was intoxicated from alcohol at more than twice the legal driving limit when he died. The report states that the 30-year old's blood alcohol content was more than 0.20%. The legal driving limit in Tennessee is 0.08%.
In the graphic autopsy report, the medical examiner states that Sacha suffered significant injuries to his head and neck during the accident.
"Based on the circumstances and the collective findings, it is my opinion that the cause of death in this case is blunt-force trauma; the manner is an accident," states Assistant Medical Examiner Emily Dennison.
The autopsy also stated that Sacha was found down a steep ravine off Rock’s driveway and that the accident severed his brain from his spinal cord in several areas.
Our prayers continue to be with Michael Sacha's family and friends.
