Granger Smith is now a father of three!
The "Backroad Song" singer and his wife, Amber, welcomed a new addition into their family on Monday (May 16). Baby boy River Kelly Smith joins his big brother Lincoln and big sister London, making the Smith family five people strong.
During an interview prior to the ACM Awards, Granger revealed that Amber was expecting their third child. He said he and Amber decided not to find out whether the baby was a boy or a girl ahead of time, but they had a few names picked out. So imagine how surprised they must have been when they saw their baby boy for the first time!
Granger shared the first photo of his son on Facebook on Friday (May 20). The photo shows the entire Smith family sitting together on a porch swing. Baby River is held lovingly by his mom and Lincoln, while Granger and London smile wide at the camera.
"Heart and hands are full," Granger wrote in a caption to the photo. "We added one more boy to the clan. River Kelly Smith has joined his brother and sister!"
2016 is turning out to be a big year for Granger, who is also known for his alter ego persona as Earl Dibbles Jr. In February, his single "Backroad Song" claimed the top spot on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, and also peaked at the 49th spot on the Billboard Hot 100. He released the another single "If the Boot Fits," in March, and it has already climbed into the Top 50 on the Country Airplay chart.
Though out of everything that's happened to him this year, we'd say that welcoming little River was probably the best part of Granger's 2016 so far.
Congratulations to Granger and Amber on your new addition!
