Calvin Harris, boyfriend of country crossover artist Taylor Swift, was hospitalized after a serious car crash Friday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The 32-year old was a passenger in a Cadillac SUV when a Volkswagen Bug, driven by a 16-year old female, crossed the center line and struck the SUV head-on.
Harris, who was born Adam Wiles, received a laceration on his face and was transported via ambulance to a local hospital where he was released shortly after.
A post made to Harris' Facebook page confirmed the accident and stated that he was forced to cancel that night's performance and was told by doctors to rest for a few days.
According to the LAPD, multiple juveniles were in the Volkswagen when the crash occurred. A female who was sitting on the lap of another passenger was ejected and suffered a broken pelvis. No other injuries have been reported.
The crash is under investigation.
The story was first reported by TMZ who called the crash "violent."
