Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani Take Steamy Duet To Billboard Music Awards

ABC

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani took the stage at the Billboard Music Awards Sunday night where they performed their sultry duet, “Go Ahead and Break My Heart.”

The couple, who began dating last fall, were introduced by Thomas Rhett and Pete Wentz as they show aired live from Las Vegas. “Together, they’re a perfect match in real life and on stage,” Rhett said before Gwen and Blake took the stage. Blake, dressed in classy black, was joined after the first verse by a stunning Gwen who donned a glittery, nude-colored dress. The couple’s chemistry was evident as they couldn’t take their eyes off each other throughout the song.

The duo premiered their much-anticipated duet on The Voice earlier this month, fans were anxious to see Blake and Gwen perform together again. The tune appears on Shelton’s newly released album, If I’m Honest, and was co-written by the two.

“When I originally started writing this song that we’re performing tonight, I was only trying to impress Gwen,” Blake said prior to their The Voice performance on May 9. “I started this song and wrote about half of it and sent it to her and she wrote the other half of it. It was just kind of something for she and I to help us feel better about what we were going through.”
