Carrie Underwood Stuns In Bikini

Us Weekly

Country superstar Carrie Underwood gets as much attention for her killer legs as she does for her voice. In the new Us Weekly Best Bodies issue, Underwood shares the secret to achieving those famous legs, and her routine might surprise you.

“I like squats, lunges,” she told Us. “If I go for a jog and I meet up with a good hill, I will lunge up the hill and that will burn them out.”

Underwood also adheres to a strict vegan diet and works out up to six times a week in her custom touring gym. The mom of 14-month old Isaiah admits that the work is worth it.

“I feel much better now at 33 than I did when I was 20 because I take better care of myself.”

Underwood’s strict lifestyle change came as a result of being the target of fat-shamers after she appeared on season four of American Idol.

“Back when I was on American Idol, I was a bit heavier than I am now,” she admitted. “That was the first time I was exposed to the public talking about me, so it was impossible not to look online and see what they were saying. Apparently I was fat. Of course I wasn’t, but sometimes words people choose are not the nicest.”

Carrie was hurt by the comments but decided to turn them into something good. She used the criticism to push her toward a healthy lifestyle and developed a diet and exercise plan that she adheres to faithfully.

Not only does Carrie appear in the current issue of the magazine, but she graces the cover in which she models a classy two-piece swimsuit. Way to go, Carrie!
