Opening up on social media to NASCAR fans everywhere, a well-known sports writer revealed a new project that's just recently begun at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
The racing organization also made an official announcement via press release just a day later, but many lingering details of the project are still being kept tight under wraps.
Built around a shocking new heist, the new film dubbed Logan Lucky, has been announced as entering initial pre-production filming at the speedway and is featuring a lengthy list of Hollywood hitmakers.
While the film features huge A-list celebs like Daniel Craig and Channing Tatum, it also features a talented film star, well-known for her family ties to country music.
Riley Keough, granddaughter of music legend Elvis Presley, is listed in ranks among the main characters, but no further details regarding her role have been released.
The film is slated to be a comedy similar to director Steven Soderbergh's 2001 re-make of Ocean's 11, and NASCAR's VP of Entertainment even called it "a big-hearted, fun story" that will showcase both the organization and the speedway.
Filming for the project began over the weekend of May 28th, and is projected for a release in the second-half of 2017.
