Following Heart-Wrenching Break Up, Sadie Robertson Has Found ‘Ultimate Joy’

About two months ago, Us Weekly reported that Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson and her boyfriend of two years, Blake Coward had parted ways.

A Robertson family representative confirmed the split, which left Robertson heartbroken, but optimistic. She shared her feelings via a YouTube video to let young girls know that she is going through the same thing some of them are, and they can grieve together.

Following the break up, she surrounded herself with family, even taking her cousin to senior prom to “avoid the drama”.

Two-and-a-half-months later, Robertson reveals she is filled with “ultimate joy”.

She recently read Looking For Lovely by Annie Downs and it challenged her in an amazing way.

“It challenged me to seek the beauty God has created around me, and within me,” she said. “It showed me how in even the tiniest things sometimes have the most beautiful messages. Now because of what God showed me through that book I don’t see myself as the world sees me. I don’t even see the world I used to see it.“

The book also helped her realize how she remains true to herself in the midst of fame. 

“I was not made to be worshiped, but to worship,” she continued. “I worship the God who made this creation we live in, and all the beauty in it. We are created to love people. how beautiful is that? We are made to LOVE. with my platform I get to love so many people I wouldn’t of met before. that is something to smile about!! That is how I have found the ultimate joy.”

 

We are so happy that Sadie has found “the ultimate joy” after going through such a tough spot in her life.
