A little over a year ago, Steven Tyler made a huge announcement that had everyone shocked!
He announced that he signed a country record deal with Dot Records and revealed that his first solo album would be out in late 2015. Fans were ecstatic even though the release date was pushed back to 2016.
His new music is a bit different from what Aerosmith fans are used to, but he’s still the same Steven we all fell in love with years ago!
Although the album is being released a bit later than expected, the singles he’s released so far, “Love Is Your Name” and “Red, White And You”, have received great attention.
In a phone interview with Rolling Stone, he revealed that the album is ready for its release!
It is titled We’re All Somebody From Somewhere and will have an accompanied tour kicking off a few days before the July 15th release date.
The 19-city tour, called Out on a Limb, will begin July 2nd. The album includes a “darker, countrified” version of the Aerosmith hit “Janie’s Got a Gun”, but Tyler assures us that every song is magical.
“I believe y’all are gonna listen to this stuff and you’re gonna agree with me that it fell from a star,” he said in the interview. “I had nothing to do with this shit, it’s just Nashville. There’s something so magical about this town and me writing with all these people.”
We can’t wait to listen to the full album! Is Steven Tyler coming to a city near you?
