Conway Twitty and Blake Shelton Sing Emotional Ballad ‘Goodbye Time’ In Virtual Duet

Conway Twitty and Blake Shelton Sing Emotional Ballad ‘Goodbye Time’ In Virtual Duet | Country Music Videos

It is a well-known fact that Blake Shelton idolizes Conway Twitty. He referenced Twitty in his song “Honey Bee” and has covered him in concert more than a few times.

What if there was a way that Shelton could sing with his idol? Well, thanks to technology and YouTube user Vrnster1971, there is a way!

The user edited clips of the song “Goodbye Time” to make it sound like they are singing together on one track!

Twitty released “Goodbye Time” as the first single from his 1988 album, Still in Your Dreams. It was a hit and peaked at #7 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

In 2004, Shelton released his own rendition of the song. This version of “Goodbye Time” was released from his album, Blake Shelton’s Barn & Grill. It quickly became his fourth single to rank in the top 10 of the country charts.

Shelton’s version was just as amazing as we could have hoped for, keeping the classic sound in it, yet making the song his own.

Hearing them both sing this song makes it even more emotional.  They sing about a relationship where the woman is trying to leave her man, and he is trying to prevent it. Ultimately, he tells her that “if the feeling’s gone / Words won’t stop you anyway“. In the chorus, he adds that “if it’s too late for love to change your mind / Then it’s goodbye time

Listen to the song below and you won’t be disappointed.
