Vince Gill’s Chilling Performance Of ‘Go Rest High’ Will Leave You In Awe

Vince Gill’s Chilling Performance Of ‘Go Rest High’ Will Leave You In Awe | Country Music Videos

Country music artist Vince Gill took the stage at the Grand Ole Opry for a gorgeous performance of “Go Rest High on That Mountain” in 2013. The performance was apart of GAC’s “Noteworthy at the Opry” series.

Vince performed beautifully and the performance had very intimate gospel-like feel to it. Vince played his acoustic guitar in the forefront of the stage and had two backup vocalists harmonizing on either side of him.

“Go rest high on that mountain,” sings Vince. “Son, your time on Earth here is done, Go to heaven a-shoutin, Love for the Father and the Son.”

“Go Rest High on That Mountain” was released in 1995 as the sixth single from his album When Loves Finds You. The song peaked at No.14 on the U.S Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and No.7 on the Canada Country RPM chart.
