Season 7 “Team Blake” member Craig Wayne Boyd gave The Voice audience members a night to remember after performing an incredibly talented rendition of the song “The Old Rugged Cross”.

Gracing a dimly lit stage, Boyd brought fans to tears with his rugged voice and emotional performance, captivating not only not only the audience, but also scoring impressive sales of his cover through iTunes.

Boyd’s sound gave the inspirational hymn an edgy sound, allowing him to create an original cover of this song, as well as showcase his high praised vocal abilities.

He went on to win the competition, later releasing his single “My Baby’s Got A Smile On Her Face”, originally written for Blake Shelton, his former “Voice” coach!
