Although her parents might be legendary country icons, which Georgette has admitted is ‘bittersweet’ in the music industry, she has a voice that is completely her own. As you’ll see in her track ‘Till I Can Make It On My Own‘, Georgette carries the melody with a smooth and airy sweetness. Her voice is intriguing and not cast under the shadow of her parents’ legacy in any way. There is much more of a contemporary feel, a la Linda Ronstadt, and a vulnerability and intensity unlike her parents’ slightly more ‘sugar-coated’ songs.
