Dolly Parton Sings Country Medley With Gage, a Talented Boy With Down Syndrome (WATCH) | Country Music Videos

Everyone knows how sweet and kind the great Dolly Parton is. She’s just the whole package and loves to make people smile. Parton did just that for Gage Blackwell, a young boy with Down Syndrome. Gage’s Facebook page describes him as “a most wonderful child with Down Syndrome. He blesses every life he touches and we hope he blesses yours as well”. That’s exactly what the following videos will do for y’all.

Gage and Dolly got together and sang a few of her hits. The legendary country singer walked over to Gage and with much enthusiasm said, “Well, who is this here? Is this my boyfriend? Is that Kenny Rogers?” She called him Gage Rogers and they started into “Islands In The Stream” and ended with Dolly telling Gage that he’s better than Kenny!

Next up is “9 to 5”, followed by “Coat Of Many Colors”, where Dolly actually stated that she’s coming out with a Christmas movie based on her song, all the while signing autographs.

They end their medley with Johnny Cash’s “Ring Of Fire” and a hug. Gage obviously knows his classic country, mentioning Elvis, George Jones, and Conway Twitty.

Gage is absolutely fantastic and ecstatic about meeting this country legend. He wrote, “I met Dolly Parton!!!!!! She is wonderful!!!!! We sang together!!!!!!” How lucky was he? Not many fans get to say that! This is definitely a memory that will last a lifetimeĀ and something to brag about. Way to go, Gage!
