Brantley Gilbert Stands Up For Abused Women With His Song, ‘Read Me My Rights’ | Country Music Videos

Take it from the bad boy of modern country: don’t lay a hand on a woman. During a concert in London, Brantley took the stage to express just how much he hates violence against women. Before singing “Read Me My Rights”, he had a few things to say on the matter first.

“There ain’t a whole lot to me, but there are two things that this old boy right here would go to jail for in any country, any day of the week. If I see a man put his his hands on a woman in front of me, I’m gonna stomp his ass.”

Then he goes on to talk about the Second Amendment and how big of a supporter he is of it.

“If a man breaks into my house with my family inside, no questions ask, I will shoot his ass… When the police get there, I will put my hands behind my back like the true southern gentleman I am, and say, ‘Read me my rights, boy’.”

Check out Brantley’s fantastic performance. The crowd screams for him, agreeing with every statement he makes. He’s phenomenal… as usual.
