DIY Mason Jar Herb Garden (Easy!)
on Apr 01, 2015
You can make a lot of things using mason jars, but this is by far the most functional, and easy! You only need a few simple items to create this little herb garden, and y’all will love the results.
Here is what you will need:
3 quart sized canning jars (mason jars)
3 hose clamps (found at your local hardware store)
3 screws
1 piece of wood (any size or shape will do, just big enough to fit 3 jars)
Rocks (to partially fill jars)
Herb plants (whatever you’ll use most!)
Potting soil
First, you’ll need to lay your jars on the piece of wood of your choice. Make sure the jars are evenly spaced, and mark on the wood with a pencil. Then, screw the hose clamps to the wood where you made the marks, and tighten the hose clamps around each jar. Next, fill each jar 1/3 full with rocks, followed by the potting soil. Make sure to leave room for your herbs! Lastly, mount your creation on the wall and plant your herbs. Easy as that!
