Adorable Disabled Dog Welcomes Home Airman After Deployment
on Apr 28, 2015
1 year-old Emma the pit bull has a bone disease which means her legs are warped so it’s difficult for her to move around day-to-day. The disease is similar to cerebral palsy in humans.
But this doesn’t stop her from welcoming Daddy every time he returns from a deployment. As you’ll see in the heartwarming footage below, the Air Force man-in-uniform returning from a 6-month assignment in Afghanistan gets greeted by adorable Emma pulling herself excitedly to meet him. It’s so touching when, despite struggles to get his attention amidst the able-bodied dogs stampeding her, Daddy lifts her up and gives her a special cuddle!
“Emma and her daddy are very close!” Melissa, Emma’s mommy explains. “It broke her heart when he left.“
You have to see this special moment below. And if you’re interested in the organization through which Emma’s owners came to adopt her, visit the SNARR website here. Oh, and did we mention Emma has her own Facebook page?!
