Ray Stevens Sees A Squirrel “Go Berserk” At Church In Music Video

Ever wonder what would happen if a wild animal ran through a church procession? Well wonder no further because comedian Ray Stevens brings the scenario to life in his video for “The Mississippi Squirrel Revival.”

Stevens tells the story of what happens when a young boy visiting his grandmother in Mississippi catches a squirrel and sneaks him into church with him. The squirrel escapes while the young boy is trying to show it off to his friend and proceeds to wreak havoc in the church.

The squirrel “goes berserk” in the church and runs up a man’s overalls who jumps up in a panic, saying “something’s got a hold of me!” The man then runs around the church in attempt to free himself from the rodent while people begin to question if he’s taken by “religion” or a “demon.” The man then falls to his knees praying and begging for release before the squirrel ran onto his next victim.

Churchgoers feared to be taken by the dark force and the donations and mission trip applications came rolling in. Watch the hilarious video below and let us know what you think in the comments!
