Kid Rock has dabbled in about every genre of music there is. He's experienced success in rock, rap, and country, and was the top-selling male solo artist of the 2000s.
When Rock took the turn more toward the country side of things, he released a song called "All Summer Long," which actually samples Skynyrd's "Sweet Home Alabama" along with Warren Zevon's "Werewolves of London." The decision to sample these two popular songs was a smart one, because Rock brought "All Summer Long" near the top of multiple U.S. charts and actually scored a #1 hit with it in eight other countries.
Besides sampling "Sweet Home Alabama," Rock also mentions Skynyrd's signature hit in the chorus of his song:
"Sipping whiskey out the bottle, not thinking 'bout tomorrow.
Singing Sweet Home Alabama all summer long."
