Glen Templeton has already made quite a name for himself with his original music and fantastic cover performances of legendary country singers like Conway Twitty. It's no different for his exceptional rendition of Merle Haggard's "Big City". He has one of those classic voices that sound eerily similar to past country icons and it's both amazing and a feast to the ears. In fact, he was handpicked by Conway Twitty's daughters to portray their father in a musical tribute.
We'd be incredibly surprised if you haven't heard of Glen because he's one in a million. The singer-songwriter is based in Nashville. He released his debut single, "I Could Be The One" in 2011. Each and every one of his performances showcases his talent in a way that keeps his audience hanging on to every last word. According to GlenTempleton.com, Glen said, "I’m not sure I chose country music, in a way it kind of chose me." With a voice like that, there's no doubt in our mind that he was born to sing.
"Big City" is actually one of Glen's favorite Merle Haggard songs. It was released in 1982 on Merle's album of the same name. It rocketed the the #1 spot on the country charts. His rendition is phenomenal to say the least - it's to the point that if y'all just sit back and take it in, you almost feel like you're listening to the Hag himself.
Glen is definitely one y'all should keep an eye on. Follow him on Facebook to do just that.
