Garth Brooks come back tour has been a huge success, but it has hit a bump in the road. Due to scheduling conflicts at Amalie Arena, Garth has been bumped from the schedule due to another event: The Stanley Cup Finals.
The last time Garth performed in Tampa was October of 1998, and he was scheduled to play two shows on Saturday June 6th, with a kickoff performance the night before. Sadly, that won't be happening any time soon, due to Game Two of the end-of-the-year hockey championship between Tampa Bay Lightening and Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday.
"The issue of getting the [television] network crews and their gear out of the building and getting our crews and gear into the building late Saturday/early Sunday for two shows on Sunday raises serious safety concerns...It is becaue of those safety concerns that the choice is being made to refund all shows and reschedule depending on finding a date that works for both the arena and the tour." -Garth Brooks
With that said, Brooks has every intention of trying to reschedule the city into his tour, when it fits in best. But in all this is sad news for Garth Brooks fans in Tampa. We leave you with a touching video from Garth's show last year at the beginning of his come back tour, where he sang to one audience member and made her night special.
